Director Emeritus

Criteria - Adopted April 14, 2007

A Director Emeritus is an honorary position to recognize those Directors who have provided long and meritorious service to the American German Shepherd Dog Charitable Foundation Inc. through service on the Board of Directors.
To be named a Director Emeritus, a person must have served a minimum of six years on the Board of Directors and may not be a current Board member when named. This appointment shall be retained for their lifetime and posthumously.
The Board shall appoint Director Emeritus recipients based on nomination and approval by a two-thirds vote of the sitting Board members at a regular meeting, at which a quorum is present.
Emeritus members shall be invited to attend the Annual meeting held in conjunction with the GSDCA National Specialty. The Emeritus members shall not hold office nor have the right to vote.
